Privacy policy

A sane privacy policy, written by a normal person…

This site doesn’t collect or use cookies. However, it’s based on WordPress and uses plug-ins which may place cookies. We’ve got no real control over this. But we don’t use them, so feel free to block them or delete them often. (We do).

Google Analytics are enabled, simply to give us an idea of visitor numbers. Google are watching everything. It scares us too, but what can you do?

The site collects no user information except through the opt-in form for the newsletter. That is handled by MailChimp, a respected and reputable firm with high ethical standards. You can unsubscribe at any time with a simple click.

We send no spam. Even the newsletters are pretty rare.

We don’t sell off this site. There are some affiliate links but not many – probably only for Scrivener, which is the world’s best writing software. In our opinion.

Bottom line

We don’t collect your information or need it – although if you want the newsletter, we need your email address. We won’t abuse it. Or share it with anyone other than MailChimp – and they keep it secure and won’t share it either.
